Biography

Lisa-Marie Price is an abstract painter based in Hertfordshire, UK. Her artistic practice revolves around using handmade watercolours derived from foraged Earth minerals, allowing nature to be both the inspiration and medium for her work.

Price’s paintings delve into themes of climate change, mindfulness, and the importance of being present. She explores how we interact with the natural world, emphasising the necessity of grounding ourselves and paying close attention to our environment.

Using delicate brush strokes, Price creates a quiet calmness in her paintings that invites contemplation. She works on high-quality offcut linen, salvaging these materials from potential landfill waste. By crafting her paints from foraged minerals, Price aims to minimise her carbon footprint and promote sustainable art practices.

Through her abstract works, Price strives to raise awareness about climate change, inviting viewers to feel a profound connection to the Earth. She hopes her art encourages people to reflect on their relationship with nature and the pressing need to protect it.

Lisa-Marie Price is represented by Columbia Road Gallery in East London. Her work has been showcased in prestigious venues such as the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, MK Gallery, D Contemporary Gallery, Copeland Gallery, The Other Art Fair, and The Shard.

She has been featured and interviewed by prominent platforms including Saatchi Art, The Other Art Fair, Rise Art, The Flux Review, Go With Yamo, The Guardian, and MK Gallery.
